Lifeline is a federally funded government program that provides millions of Americans with FREE wireless service every month.
There are two ways to qualify for the Lifeline discount: based on household income or participation in government benefit programs. Only one discount per eligible household is permitted and is non-transferable to another person. The discount is tied to a single, primary residential address and the service must be used once per every 30 days.
If you or a member of your household participates in certain government or public assistance programs such as Medicaid, Food Stamps/SNAP, or SSI, you may be eligible for the Lifeline program. Proof of program participation may be required. Click here to learn what programs are eligible.
You may qualify for Lifeline if your household income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. You may be required to provide proof of income.
